The tree symbolizes family and growth, reflecting the various aspects of life. Apart from its beauty, trees in mythology remind us of events too terrible to contemplate or beautiful beyond our comprehension; like loss of beloved ones or astonishment of creation during birth.
The butterflies in this tree symbolize transformation because of their impressive ability of metamorphosis. They also represent ever lasting love and a happy life for the young and young at heart according to Chinese legend.
We are all on a long journey of the soul on which we encounter endless turns and twists.
Those will inevitably change us. It is our responsibility to make our own way from the roots of our family and accept the changes that come, to emerge from our transitions as light-hearted and brilliantly as the butterfly.
